Yesterday Apple put on an amazing show and announced some impressive new products. For many, the highlight was the iPhone 13 - cases from Mous are already available for pre-order. After talking about the expansion of Apple TV+ that they’re doing and the award-winning content they’re bringing out, Apple announced a huge variety of new devices. Here’s a summary.
New iPads
A lot of people were waiting with baited breath for the announcement of the iPhone 13, case in point it was the final device to be announced. The opening of the Apple Event was just as exciting. There are new iPads and new iPad minis available for pre-order right now. They’re both getting big upgrades to their processing power. The new iPad will have an A13 bionic chip. It’s up to 20% faster than last year’s A12. The iPad mini is also finally getting TouchID, not FaceID like the iPhone 13; protective cases in fun new colours are also on their way.
Apple Watch Series 7
The Apple Watch is also getting a serious upgrade. It’s getting a hugely expanded, almost edge-to-edge Retina display, a keyboard to reply to messages without taking out your iPhone 13, clear cases of water damage will also become even more rare with IP6X and WR50 certification. Apple didn’t give us a date on this device but we can expect it later this fall. It won’t arrive alongside your iPhone 13, MagSafe® case or iPad, but it’s something to really look forward to later.
iPhone 13 is here!
The moment we were all waiting for finally arrived, iPhone 13 - cases of it being called something different were reported, but they were wrong. It will be available in the same sizes as last year. That’s the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. The A15 bionic chip is the biggest upgrade all models will see. This means the phones will be unbelievably fast and powerful. All the cameras are getting big upgrades and the Pro models will have three lenses on the back, capable of shooting cinema-quality content. It’s incredible how far smartphone cameras have come and these will be the best on the market. The flagship colour this year for the Pro models is a beautiful sierra blue, and an extremely pretty pink for the lower spec iPhone 13 - clear cases might be necessary to show them off!
